Celebrating Mid-Spring Studio Update
Isn’t this just the most favorite time of year for many people? The lusty month of May lies ahead at Mid-Spring, Beltane, Mother’s Day, Earth Day and here in Kentucky, Derby Day. The returning and increasing light is daily perceptible and cheering. This Imbolc, Candlemas time is associated with St. Bridgid. Mid-winter seems more like pre-spring when I notice robins congregating on the lawn. (more…)

All summer and early autumn I’ve been quietly enjoying painting in the studio annex’s bright light. Now it’s time to present the 40 new artworks at the Annual Autumn Open Studio on November 2 in this new space. (more…)
Since the last quarter I’ve focused on gouache paintings that I put together into two spring Portfolios. Based on what I observed as new in the garden, one portfolio is of twelve birds, one of twelve flowers with a snake and firefly thrown in. (more…)
