Friday’s reception for “Drawn to the Earth” was a coming together of about 100 art and poetry lovers. Stan Brunn and I were both pleased with the turn-out, and how well received the concept of geopoetry and art flowing together. He read several poems, including “Rivers and Roots”, which you may read in an earlier post – last year’s Earth Day, as a matter of fact. Please join us Saturday, April 16 from 12:30-2 pm at MS Rezny Studio/Gallery when Stan will talk about his forthcoming book, “The Changing World Language Map”. Thanks to Melissa Hall for the beautiful photographs she took during the reception.

Michelle Hayden, an encaustics artist I admire said; “I had the privilege of attending this wonderful opening, and was so pleased to experience the interplay of the profound poetry written by Stanley Brunn, so carefully placed between the rich artwork of Kathleen. The relationship between the two art forms was really stunning, and added much depth and reflection. I hope many more can come out and see this wonderful show… Beautiful collaboration, Kathleen and Stan! And lovely photographs, as always, Melissa! Another powerful exhibit at MS Rezny!”

I am very excited about how many people have added their art and words to the community journal, responding to the question, “Where on earth are YOU?” Please stop in and add to it. I’ll be creating a PDF to send you after the exhibit.
