My Guest for ARTTOUR

I’m so happy to share special guests with visitors who come soon to the Annual Open Studios ARTTOUR. Encaustic sculpture artist, Michelle Hayden  will be here as well as Greg’s Antique Corner.

Michelle enjoys life with her spouse and two sons on their rolling acres, surrounded by the continual inspiration and serenity that nature provides.  They moved out to the country eight years ago, and helped build a straw-bale, cob, and earth-bag studio in which to make art and home-school their children.  They enjoy making their land a source of food, learning, replenishment, and play.

“Michelle finds immense joy in creating sculpture that emerges out of the intersection of macro photography and encaustic art.  She experiences a sense of awe when something hidden in the depths is brought to the surface for new interpretation.  She believes in the cathartic power of art, which acts as a bridge for kinship and shared understanding between the artist and the viewer.”
