Adorn Yourself and Your Walls, was the idea that came to me when the sun was brilliantly shining into the studio. Rather than use the usual white background, I could pose the new bead jewelry on the newest watercolor series, October.
The fun part was setting it up and using the camera. Now it is down pouring rain, so I get to spend hours and hours working with the photos, so I can load to the website, blog, emails, social media, etc, etc. I’m drinking coffee.
First I put them together on the artwork, October 3 in such a way that it played with the shapes, lines and colors.
This is a detail of “Healing Necklace 18” and “Talisman for Bead-makers” (with some of the very last of my Mark L. Roberts beads) lying on October 3 watercolor.
Then I got caught up in the light and detail.
Then I got carried away with featuring the necklaces with the birds in each of the four watercolors, October 1-4.
Finally, I started hanging them on the walls near the other artwork on display for the first time at the 13th Annual Autumn Open Studio.
