Celebrating Mid-Spring Studio Update
Here we are at the light half of the year again – Beltane, May Day! I’m celebrating with a grand Spring Into Art Event, a Sunwise Open Studios Celebration. Join in the fun on April 29, from 1-4 pm. I have a big surprise for you, that you won’t want to miss. Also, there is going to be a large selection of art, as well as jewelry, greeting cards and prints, mugs, totes and pouches.
During this mid-spring celebration you can see the first few artworks in my new series Atlas of the Year. It is twelve aspects of my continuing exploration of the 4 seasons – 4 directions. Each of the twelve viewpoints has three parts: a collage, a drawing with symbols and correspondences of the month and written material. So far I have completed the three months from the winter section. I’m happy to show them to you.
At the event you are welcome to stroll on the trails. We want to tell you about the Turtle Tree Bio-dynamic Initiative and their seeds that we are using this year. We’ll have some Milkweed seeds from our Monarch Waystation for sale, also Zinnia seeds and fig trees. We’ve packaged some Iris from Boulder’s renowned Longs Garden for you to plant in your garden.
