New for ARTTOUR
As for each Open Studio, there are many new things to see at this year’s ARTTOUR. I’ve decided to preview all of the Atlas of the Year collages and drawings to date, even though the project will not be complete until the end of the year. When ready for it’s first gallery display it will be divided between four walls for each of the seasons. For ARTTOUR, you will see Winter/North, Spring/East (shown below), and Summer/South spread out. I wrote about this on several posts, most recently on the mid-summer update.
Most of the recent artwork from the summer is watercolor, a surprise to me. Painting outside near my garden influenced me to paint loose renditions of my beloved flowers. The series is entitled Bouquet, there are 30 in all. They will be mounted but not framed.
I adapted some of them into four new greeting card sets. Most of my sets are vertical and rectangular. These new ones are either horizontal and rectangular, or vertical and square. For all you flower and garden lovers, cheers to bring into the dark time of the year ahead.
I just love these new notebooks published by society6. The notebooks feature wraparound artwork, with an anti-scuff laminate cover. Unleash your creativity on 52 pages of high quality 70lb text paper – minimal show-through even when you use heavy ink! The ones on display are unlined but they are also available in lined version.
You will always see new beads!
I’ve created a few new designs for the carry-all pouches, also produced by society6. I look forward to showing you around the studio!
