12x8x1 inch, watercolor, acrylic, graphite and collage on Arches cover paper, laminated on a wood panel and varnished. Braided Sweetgrass from Sunwise Farm and Sanctuary and yarn frame the panels. The horse, that can move back and forth, is rawhide horse hair, fabric, wire and beads.
Talisman for White Horse 1 depicts the Uffington White Horse near Wantage. Formed from deep trenches filled with crushed white chalk and visible for miles, this huge equine hill figure was carved around 1000 BC in the late Bronze Age making it the oldest surviving hill figure in Britain. It is also the largest at 360 feet from head to tail.
