The dark half of the year began. A grey day inspired me to combines a few squares from the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art postcard invitation to “Portraits; Pets and People” from 1996. I saved several of these postcards that had 63 square portraits in a grid to use in collages. It was a special place for me, I used to exhibit there when it was the Boulder Art Gallery. Part of an acrylic end of day painting teamed up with a sort of Dalmatian painting that seemed to reflect the pet theme. Then superimposed a tiny remnant from DaVinci’s notebook and a small drawing of weeds that seem to be distressing the protagonist.
