I love these pieces from a 1939 Atlas because of the orange boundaries and the robin egg blue water. I kept the Niagara Falls part of the map because it reminds me of my mom’s Alma Mater and my maternal side of the family’s area. When I lived in the region, I would cross the Peace Bridge to swim in the quarry when it was hot. The watercolor from 2014 reminds me of a Renaissance map.
