Happy Valentine Day to you. Love is in the air. It makes me think of where and when, who and what, I love and cherish. In this virtual moment on this airway, I send love to your direction at mid-winter.

Valentine Card, detail from Atlas of the Year, 5

I am in love with Atlas of the Year online program and very happy to announce that in a month (on March 20) you will be able to register for it. One thing I love is being able to create the designs you see in my posts and emails, invitations and communications like the one below I’m calling a logo.

Each square detail is from each of the 12 months of art featured in the Journals. My hope is that you are inspired to create your own maps to navigate space/time. This art began the two year project, that is being birthed, in time for what we long for, spring.

Simultaneously, this art has its premier viewing at Carnegie Institute for Literacy and Learning from February 20 – April 17, with a Gallery Hop reception on March 15. I love and appreciate Carnegie’s Kimber Gray’s interest in presenting the art and promoting the online program.

Imagine if you were participating in the program at this time of year, this graphic below shows the winter’s cross-cultural insights and explorations into space/time qualities, to help you be in the right place at the right time through creativity. Each block opens to a PDF, each full of helpful materiel, about cycles, art making references, each day celebratory prompts and more. There are 64 PDFs, including the four seasonal journals.

Here’s a closeup of the cover for the Mid-Winter PDF. I hope you join us online for the program, and that you have a chance to see the art in person at the Carnegie.
